FEATURED TRADER INBINCIBLE
Back in the summer months of last year, my wife said to me “Can we get someone in to clean the bins?” Money was a bit tight and, being a canny Scot, I was reluctant to pay out to have someone clean the bins. As far as I was concerned, we might as well just chuck a fiver in the bin each month!!
But, the wife won as wives so often do. If we were going to pay out money to get the bin cleaned, I wanted it to be someone local, a small family run business and someone that I could trust to do a good job. I did not want a national company and I did not want an expensive franchise. Enter Inbincible. We booked and paid for a series of cleans every fortnight and I thought we’d see how it went.
Phil, the owner of Inbincible, turned up after the bin collection on the day of the first clean in his lovely white van, emblazoned with the company name and Freephone number 0800 781 8633. I like a business that pays for the customer to call him, so the Freephone number was a big bonus for Inbincible.
Phil was on his own, so I knew I wasn’t paying for a team of guys to sit around watching the “gaffer” at work. His van was very well equipped and the cleansing process soon got underway. Phil was very thorough, ensuring the bin was properly cleansed. He then returned the bin to it’s normal position at the front of the house, not abandoned where the bin men left it so hurriedly.
On inspection, the bin was very thoroughly cleaned and smelt extremely fresh. We usually keep the bin fairly close to the front door, so in the summer months there is sometimes a bit of an “whiff” when passing the bins. But for several days after Phil had cleaned our bin, it was a very pleasant aroma emanating from the bin.
Full marks for the first clean, then, but could Phil keep this up? It was not long before the bin men did not turn up on the allotted day, the curse of the dreaded twin bodied Hart dustcart breakdown. So what would happen now I wondered? No problem for Phil. He rearranged his schedule (no mean feat as he covers a very large area) and still managed to get to clean the bin later on the same day that the bin was emptied.
And so it went on. Every fortnight Phil was there with his Inbincible van to do the bin after it had been emptied. Each time the bin was left back in the correct position and smelling very fresh.
So, how did I rate the service overall? I was very impressed and, although we have not kept up the cleans over the winter, we will definitely be booking another series of cleans soon. Top marks to Phil of Inbincible. You converted me from seeing bin cleans as a total waste of money to someone who sees it as a very worthwhile investment. Now that the bin collections are fortnightly it will be even more important to keep the bin fresh and clean.
